This service is offered free of charge, and we provide return packaging for the rings with your final rings. You can also choose to keep these bands as keepsakes for an additional fee. We have samples of all eight Mokume combinations we offer. In addition, we have plain band samples of each metal type we offer. These samples are available for a refundable deposit and non-refundable shipping charge. If you have a deposit on file for any of our rings, we will cover the shipping charge for the samples. Our friendly office staff will be happy to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding our sample program. RING SIZEBecause the jewelry industry has yet to perfectly calibrate ring sizing mandrels and finger gauges, Krikawa is happy to offer a unique finger sizing method that is MORE accurate than going to a jewelry store and trying on rings. Once you place your order, your initial packet you receive in the mail will include sterling silver plain bands that have the same width, thickness, size, and comfort fitting of your final ring, regardless of where you live in the world. You are then asked to wear these for a day to get the best estimate of ring size, as hands tend to swell and shrink throughout a day. We also include information on how to assure the best size for you. We have found that clients sized in this way rarely need their rings sized, as opposed to clients who have selected their size at a single sitting. This way, we can assure that your final custom ring is made exactly to size, and you can be assured that the width is one you have worn comfortably. If you don't know what size you are to start with, you can get your finger measured at a local jewelry store, or we can send you a finger gauge with multiple choices. If you are choosing a wide band, request that the sizing be done with a wide finger gauge. If your ring is delivered in a size other than what was ordered, we will replace or resize the band at no additional charge. If you need your ring resized for other reasons, see charges below. DIAMOND QUALITY and GIA CERTIFIED DIAMONDSFor your convenience, extensive education and guidance is available to you through rur GIA certified Diamonds Graduate, Jacqueline Froeliger. She will help you select a stone from an inventory of tens of thousands of diamonds. For fast and easy service, you can fill out our diamond request form. You will be assisted in selecting the perfect diamond to meet your needs and desires, based upon your quality selections and budget parameters. You will be provided with a list of diamonds to choose from, describing the carat weight, clarity, color, quality of the cut (such as Ideal, Very Good, etc.) and price. Every colorless diamond and natural fancy color diamond is put through our rigorous grading process to assure that your unique diamond meets or exceeds our strict quality control standards. You may also request further information on the diamond before purchasing, such as the depth and table proportions. Any diamond over 1/2 carat that you order will be GIA or AGS certified unless specified otherwise. A copy of the certification can be emailed to you prior to your purchase. Your diamond is guaranteed to be exactly what you order. If you wish to see the diamond before purchasing, that can be arranged. If you choose to supply your own stone, a 10% premium will be added to the price of your mounting. SAPPHIRE and GEMSTONE SELECTIONAll colored stones are shipped to clients for color approval. We provide shipping to you and return shipping back to us for colored stones free of charge for the first two shipments. Subsequent shipments for color approval on stones will be subject to a non-refundable shipping charge. We can include multiple stone samples in one shipment and are happy to add metal and/or Mokume samples for your comparison with the colored stone sample. PROVIDING YOUR OWN STONEWe do accept outside stones for mounting in our engagement rings. Your stone will be fully insured for the duration it is in-house. It will receive a gemological intake and assessment for quality, ring fitting, and insurance purposes. There is a 10% setting fee added onto the cost of the mounting for this service. If you have a round diamond, we can start on your ring with just the dimensions. If you have a fancy shape, we usually need the stone before we get started. Once you place your order, our friendly office staff will be happy to provide you with shipping instructions for sending your stone to Krikawa safely and securely. METAL PURITYThe precious metals that you select for your custom jewelry are guaranteed to be of the highest purity, and stamped with the metal content, such as 18k or PT950. Each piece is also marked with the KJD trademark. PAYMENT METHODSWe accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and DiscoverCard, as well as personal/business checks, cashiers checks, money orders, and wire transfers. If you purchase the stone for your ring from us, then full payment is required for the stone upon order confirmation and that payment will serve as a deposit for your ring order. If you are providing your own stone, then payment of one-half of the total order is required as
a down-payment upon order confirmation. The balance is due before

We typically have a turnaround time of 8 to 12 weeks (depending on the timely confirmation of size and stone) from the date of deposit. Contact us for details.RUSH SERVICEWe do offer a rush service if you cannot wait for your gorgeous custom Krikawa ring. The rush service will guarantee delivery of the final ring within 4 weeks. You may also consider a temporary ring.PACKAGINGYour jewelry order will be packaged in an elegant jewelry box. Your order can be gift wrapped as well. SHIPPINGYour order will be shipped via Fed-Ex. If you have a design that you would like us to manufacture as a one-off, please inquire about that possibility at the time of ordering. Due to the fact that the first design of any item in a series requires the most amount of R&D labor for proper manufacturing, the price for a one-off item is typically double that of an item that is added to our design line, in order to recoup the cost of manufacturing. We reserve the right to use the image of anything that we manufacture in any media in order to promote our services, even in the case of a one-off. SIZING AND REPAIR CHARGESMokume Band : Down - $100, Up - $100 (one size max, thickness will change) ROUTINE REFINISHA routine refinish is recommended no more than once a year for Mokume rings and once every couple of years as needed for non-mokume rings.
