I'm very appreciative for the quick responses and information [on my repair]. Besides her great work and wanting to support an independent artisan, another reason I chose Lisa for purchasing a wedding ring was the level of comfort and personal care I felt when dealing with her. I'm glad to see that I still feel that way even though she has expanded her business (I bought the ring when Lisa's shop was still in the little [studio] behind her actual house). Thanks again.

Green gold is a very pale yellowish sage color. It is made of 10 parts pure gold and 14 parts of a mixture containing primarily silver.

Historical Trivia

In 862 BC, the Lydians, an Iron Age kingdom in present-day Turkey, were using coins made of electrum. This naturally occurring gold-silver alloy consisted of 73% gold and 27% silver.

Green Gold from Krikawa

We most commonly use green gold in Winter mokume gane, but have also handcrafted some engagement rings in green gold. We have determined that 10 karat green gold yields the best color. Higher karats of green gold look more yellow than green.
