September 20, 2017
It catches your eye as she walks by; is that ring real?  We've all seen the celebrity engagement ring with the supersized stone, and the flurry of look a-likes that flood the market afterwards.  What makes the original so luxurious, and the imitation just that; the ugly stepsister?

There's more to a luxury engagement ring than meets the eye.  If you really want to feel that luxurious supernatural hum when you look at your engagement ring, or if you truly hope for your beloved to swoon every time she gazes at the ring you engaged her with, consider these three things. see the full article

A Unique Trillion Cut Engagement Ring

November 23, 2016
Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring InfographicDo you love the unusual appeal of a trillion shaped engagement ring?  I'm pleased to introduce a new Mokume Engagement Ring style to our expanding collection. The Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring is a new adaptation of our popular Mokume Diamond Silhouette Engagement Ring.

What makes the Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring so unique is the center stone shape. A trillion (also named "trilliant" or "trillian") is a triangular shaped stone, often with pointed corners or in the case of our pictured designer cut stone, with cut-corners. So if you are looking to vary your options from the classic round or princess cut stone, consider a trillion!  see the full article

October 07, 2015
Engagement rings are a lot of things: an outward symbol of your love and commitment, a sign that you’re officially off the market and, of course, a nice piece of jewelry. But let’s be honest, they’re also a lot of fun to show off. Here are five gorgeous styles that will cause a serious case of the “I want’s.” see the full article

A Guide to Designing with Colored Diamonds

October 02, 2015
Have your heart set on a fancy colored diamond (FCD)? We don’t blame you. With their array of eye-catching shades, these beauties add a pop of color and a quirky-cool edge to your jewelry. Just like their more traditional white cousins, FCDs are the hardest stones on the market and can be easily customized into the piece of your dreams. But since they are colored, you’ll have a few extra things to keep in mind during the design process.

Here’s what you—and your jeweler—should know. see the full article

Awesome Celebrity Engagement Rings: Get the Look for Less

June 12, 2015
Celebrities may have enough madcap adventures to keep TMZ photographers busy for days, but when it comes to engagement rings, they’re surprisingly traditional. Most flock to designs that are elegant and timeless: think a big center stone, a super narrow band and, possibly, a halo for understated bling.

That said, there are some exceptions -- and they’re pretty amazing. Here are a few of the nontraditional designs I’m loving, plus tips on how to snag a similar style for a fraction of the price. see the full article

Meteorite Engagement Rings: Out-of-This-World!

June 11, 2015
When it comes to designing your own engagement ring, most of us want anything but cookie cutter. In fact, the more unique and special, the better—which is a big reason couples are flocking to rings made of Gibeon meteorite.

This warm grey material is truly like nothing on earth. For starters, it’s tough to find; it’s exclusively found in Namibia, in a huge field of meteorites that are millions of years old. (Thanks to our partnership with Lashbrook, we’re one of the few jewelers who offer it.) Also, because this space rock crystallizes in a unique pattern when it crosses into our atmosphere, every piece is slightly different. This is especially evident during polishing and etching, when those prized crystal formations appear. see the full article
