It catches your eye as she walks by; is that ring real?  We've all seen the celebrity engagement ring with the supersized stone, and the flurry of look a-likes that flood the market afterwards.  What makes the original so luxurious, and the imitation just that; the ugly stepsister?

There's more to a luxury engagement ring than meets the eye.  If you really want to feel that luxurious supernatural hum when you look at your engagement ring, or if you truly hope for your beloved to swoon every time she gazes at the ring you engaged her with, consider these three things. see the full article
Do you love the unusual appeal of a trillion shaped engagement ring?  I'm pleased to introduce a new Mokume Engagement Ring style to our expanding collection. The Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring is a new adaptation of our popular Mokume Diamond Silhouette Engagement Ring.

Celebrities may have enough madcap adventures to keep TMZ photographers busy for days, but when it comes to engagement rings, they’re surprisingly traditional. Most flock to designs that are elegant and timeless: think a big center stone, a super narrow band and, possibly, a halo for understated bling.

That said, there are some exceptions -- and they’re pretty amazing. Here are a few of the nontraditional designs I’m loving, plus tips on how to snag a similar style for a fraction of the price. see the full article
Please note: Krikawa no longer offers Meteorite Engagement Rings.

When it comes to designing your own engagement ring, most of us want anything but cookie cutter. In fact, the more unique and special, the better—which is a big reason couples are flocking to rings made of Gibeon meteorite.

This warm grey material is truly like nothing on earth. For starters, it’s tough to find; it’s exclusively found in Namibia, in a huge field of meteorites that are millions of years old. (Thanks to our partnership with Lashbrook, we’re one of the few jewelers who offer it.) Also, because this space rock crystallizes in a unique pattern when it crosses into our atmosphere, every piece is slightly different. This is especially evident during polishing and etching, when those prized crystal formations appear. see the full article
