For Better or For Worse, Technology is Changing the Way That We Do Weddings

It’s pretty safe to say that in today’s world, almost everything we do is dependent on or influenced by technology. With our abundance of smartphones, computers, gadgets, and gizmos, we have grown accustomed to being connected to the rest of the world with the touch of a button. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that the digital age has transformed almost every industry in the modern world. Weddings in particular present a large market for technology.

In a 2017 interview, Kelly Gould, editor in chief of wedding website The Knot, said that a third of all couples are now using tech in some way for their wedding day. This number is only expected to increase, partly due to the fact that more technology is introduced to the market all the time.

The problem with utilizing technology in the majority of your wedding activities is simple: tradition. Juicy Scaffold Engagement Ring

December 21, 2016
Juicy Scaffold Engagement Ring with Blue Sapphires and Round White DiamondThe scaffold engagement ring is a new take on the traditional concept of a bridal set with a separate engagement ring and wedding band. With a scaffold engagement ring, as you become one in marriage on your wedding day, so does your set of rings. Your wedding band slips into the engagement ring securely and the two rings truly become one. Krikawa is pleased to debut a new style of scaffold engagement ring that has been added to our growing collection.
The Juicy Scaffold Engagement Ring is inspired by our popular Signature Juicy design. Like the other rings in the Juicy Collection, "hand-cut European style pavé" set stones of your choosing follow arching curves up the sides of the ring to support your center stone. With this scaffold engagement ring, you have the freedom to choose from a variety of wedding bands that can be made to slide right into it. You can choose a diamond accented band for added sparkle, a mokume gane band (pictured) for a beautifully unique set, or a simple wedding band for a more modern look. Whichever you decided, you are certain to have a one-of-a-kind bridal set when the two rings are joined.
Let us take you behind the scenes so you can see how this beautiful ring came to be...

Matching Wedding Bands But NOT Matchy Matchy

December 15, 2016
Celtic Knot Wedding Band Set Are you considering a matching set of wedding bands, but would like to retain your own unique individual expression? This was the case for a couple who came to Krikawa looking for custom wedding rings. Although the couple both loved the idea and symbolism of the Celtic Knot, they did not want their rings to be "matchy matchy." Thus, a wedding band set was created that is kindred in style but not identical.

These Celtic Knot Wedding Bands feature the same eternity knot wrapping around the entire band, however that is where the similarities end.  see the full article

November 23, 2016
Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring InfographicDo you love the unusual appeal of a trillion shaped engagement ring?  I'm pleased to introduce a new Mokume Engagement Ring style to our expanding collection. The Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring is a new adaptation of our popular Mokume Diamond Silhouette Engagement Ring.

What makes the Trillion Silhouette Engagement Ring so unique is the center stone shape. A trillion (also named "trilliant" or "trillian") is a triangular shaped stone, often with pointed corners or in the case of our pictured designer cut stone, with cut-corners. So if you are looking to vary your options from the classic round or princess cut stone, consider a trillion!  see the full article
